I am an ORIE PhD at Cornell Tech, NYC. In 2023 I received my B.S. in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Caltech, Pasadena. In 2025 I explored the intersection of causality, LLMs, and RL as a research intern at Amazon Science, Tübingen Germany. In 2026 I will explore causality x agentic security as a research intern at Amazon Science, San Francisco.

I am motivated by a curiosity of the world. I work primarily on (1) developing robust and sample efficient causal structure learning algorithms, and their application in (2) reinforcement learning, as well as (3) agentic security and AI safety.

I believe causality will be essential to the efficient and safe development of ML systems that have prediction, control and counterfactual reasoning capabitilies that can generalize to unseen environments. I aim to close the gap between theory and practice to enable AI to truly understand our causal world.

I enjoy research collabs and helping to organize NYC AI Safety meetups - feel free to reach out :)
